Exterior lighting installation at Aurora House, a new commercial office development on Ealing Broadway. The original fascia lighting design by ESA architects, was developed by The Light Lab in conjuction with main contractor Advanced Interiors.
Our team encorporated channelling into the existing mullions on the fascia of the building, to allow installation of 20 Spectraglass fully colour changing RGBW glass fins – and 10 coloured perforated aluminium fins. The original scope being that the aluminium fins, provide interest and colour to the building during daylight and the Spectraglass fins bring the building to life at night. The fins are fully programmable and various calendar based sequences can be scheduled to accommodate seasonal requirements – with the current lighting program developed by Studio miramandtom.
In addition to this, we also manufactured and installed a bespoke illuminated sign displaying the building number of the road, using laser cut, treated, hot-rolled steel, incorporating Glowsheet and embedded lettering, flush with the steel faces. The Glowsheet is edge-lit top and bottom, to allow ease of maintenance whilst giving even illumination on both sides.
