Eden Dock, Canary Wharf

Eden Dock at Canary Wharf is an exciting new development that brings innovative design and modern living to one of London’s most iconic waterfront locations. Situated along the historic docklands, Eden Dock is part of the ongoing transformation of the Canary Wharf area, blending cutting-edge architecture with the rich maritime heritage of the East End.
The project offers a mix of luxury residential spaces, commercial offices, and leisure facilities, all designed to meet the needs of today’s dynamic urban lifestyle. With stunning views over the dock and easy access to the heart of Canary Wharf, Eden Dock provides an elevated experience of modern living, work, and recreation. As part of the broader regeneration of the Canary Wharf estate, the development is set to redefine the area, bringing new energy and opportunities to this thriving part of London.
The Light Lab brought to life the original design concept by lighting designers Studio Fractal, creating and fabricating 105 custom, illuminated ‘reed’ fixtures for the floating planters surrounding the perimeter of Eden Dock.

The ‘reeds’ comprised of 70x20mm glowing frosted acrylic Anthers within aluminium Tepal cup reflectors, painted black externally and gold internally to accentuate the warm white glow and direct light away from the water’s surface.

The luminaire heads were mounted on flexible rods Stems, designed to move organically with the wind and water movement which were submerged in floating planters, secured by custom base plates with precise mounting bracket details.

To complement the installation, a sophisticated control system was integrated, allowing for dynamic lighting effects and precise management of the lighting across the site.
